Caucasian Eyes: hazel; Hair: brown; Height: 6'2"; Weight: 180 lbs. Distinguishing Marks. 4" scar, lower left thigh front. Circumstances of Loss: 1. Reported MIA 27 April 1951. 2. Capt. Austin's plane, with four crewmen, left its base at 1904 hours, 26 April 1951, for Taegu, from which it was to begin a night intruder mission followed by a medium altitude bomb run and visual reconnaissance. Upon completing its mission, the plane was to return to Taegu. Ground control near Taegu reported that the plane contacted them at 1920 hours. This is the last known contact.
